Trekking to Everest Base Camp

One of the attractions of the Gokyo Chola Pass Trek is the possibility to see Everest Base Camp (5364 metres). Typically, trekkers reach Everest Base Camp first, although some prefer to begin with Gokyo Lake or Gokyo Valley by walking clockwise. The most usual and safest route is to go anti-clockwise.

The first phase of EBC Chola Pass Trek follows the Everest Base Camp Trek itinerary. After exploring the Everest Base Camp, they return to Lobuche and then take the route via Chola Pass. This anti-clockwise direction helps with acclimatization, with two rest days in Namche Bazaar (3440m) and Dingboche (4400m). The trek’s highest point is 5545m at Kalapathar, with Everest Base Camp at 5364m.

Doing EBC Chola Pass Trek is more rewarding as it takes trekkers to the base camp of Mt. Everest and also provide the mini mountaineering feeling while crossing the Chola Pass. Therefore, it is worth every penny! Moreover, our experienced team of trekking guides and support crew members ensure that you get the hassle free trekking up in the Himalayas.

The Thrill of Crossing Chola Pass (5420m)

Between Gokyo Lake and Everest Base Camp, trekkers face the challenging Chola Pass (5420m), often called the summit pass. This snow-covered trail requires careful guidance from the trek leader. From the top of Chola Pass, trekkers are rewarded with panoramic views of mountains like Cholatse, Amadablam, Pumori, and Lobuche. After crossing, trekkers enter the beautiful Gokyo Valley.

Gokyo Valley in EBC Chola Pass Trek

The Gokyo Valley highlights staggering turquoise lakes, warm Sherpa neighborliness, all-encompassing Mountain sceneries, and a quiet environment. The valley has five lakes, accepted to be associated by underground canals, in spite of the fact that this can be problematic. The third lake is the most highlight where trekkers spend the night. Climbing Gokyo Ri offers unmatched sees of mountains like Mt. Choyou, Mt. Makalu, and Mt. Everest. In spite of the fact that the journey closes at tall elevation, three more days are required to reach Lukla.

Gokyo Ri Hike

Hike to the top of the Gokyo Ri. This is a unique hiking experience. Trekkers can get the different view of Mt. Everest. The view of Mt. Choyou and 360 degree Himalayan vista make it worthwhile to climb this amazing hill beside the Gokyo Lake. Moreover, the sight of a hamlet and blue turquoise lake from the top of Gokyo Ri is a sight to behold. It seems as if you are on the top of the fairy hill overlooking the gorgeous enchanted valley.
